Do you trust Jesus in these areas of life?

We start out as careless sinners, We live as if God and His laws didn’t exist or didn’t count! Not knowing or caring how we offend the Lord.

First, we must be convicted, that is what the law of God does, we learn from God’s law that our way of life is wrong. God has a moral law that must be followed. Don’t murder, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery, etc. We learn that God’s law is holy and right. We don’t want to be murdered, we don’t want anyone to steal our property; yes, God’s law is right! These things are obvious; most people would be ashamed if someone even suspected them of doing something like that. God also requires us to be,

Unselfish, Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Loving, Matthew 5:43 - 44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

No hatred, Matthew 6:14 - 15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

No root of Immorality, Matthew 5:27 - 28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

It must be made clear to our minds that we are criminals, offending our God with our every breath!

The first thing we need to do is Repent (Turn from sin in shame and disgust) and obey the Lord! We need to Instantly submit to our God. We need to be obedient to our God. God wants us to Make a new heart as the prophet Ezekiel tells us in Ezekiel 18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Remember, praying, going to church meetings, and reading the bible, is all sin when done while in rebellion to God. First repent! You might think that you can’t pray or repent, when all that you need to do is yield yourselves to God, to find peace! God’s precious spirit is pleading with you to do this now!

  • What repentance is?

a) Turning from sin in shame and disgust, with a resolve never to do it again.

b) A change of mind (heart) not remorse, regret or a feeling of being sorry.

c) True Repentance is a hatred for sin, all sin.

a) It is not simply being sorry. The drunkard, after waking up the next morning in the gutter, smelly, cold and hungry is very sorry about his plight. About being broke and hungry, but before the sun is very high in the sky, he is trying to figure out how he will gather enough money to buy wine and get drunk all over again!

b) Sorrow is a part of repentance, but the Bible tells us in 2Corinthians 7:10 that a Godly sorrow will lead us into a repentance that we will not repent of! But the sorrow of the world worketh death. The sorrow of our plight does not lead to repentance. Our sorrow should be about our treatment of a Holy God who paid a precious price for our redemption! And remember, if you, at times wish it were possible to do a certain sin, you have not repented! You need to repent!

After we repent, we must believe God, have faith in His word (the Bible), learn all we can from the Lord, and believe His promises.

We must place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and all He did for us. We must place our trust in the Lord to complete our salvation. JOHN 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name. ACTS: 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Remember Jesus came to save us from sin, Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save his people from their sins. When we are saved, we are free from the bondage of sin! Need a scripture to believe this? here it is, Romans: 6:12 - 14 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Romans: 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Romans: 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Many people say that this means our sin is not counted against us because we are under grace. This line of reasoning is ridiculous! Listen to the apostle Paul as he explains this to us. Paul begins with another rhetorical question: Romans: 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. God never meant for us to think of grace as a "license to sin" but rather a "license to be FREE FROM SIN"!

Today we have the token family, one or two children, I guess we don't want to be happy. The Bible says; Psalms 127:4 - 5 As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth. Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. We seem to follow the trend, and today the trend is toward fewer children or no children at all. As if God's word taught that we would be happier with few or no children. This is the worlds teaching not God's! Never mind what others say, Look into what God says!

One of the reasons I have heard for not having large families is that it is expensive! How this flies in the face of God! Listen to Jesus, Matthew 6:25 - 33 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Lord tells us not to lay up treasures on earth! We are to trust Him! Now when we say " it is expensive to have a large family" we are violating the teaching of the Lord Jesus, in favor of the teachings of the world. I believe some form of selfishness is involved in this.

Often times, we hear someone recommend a doctor for someone that is sick, lets see how Bible handles this. This is the only scripture in the Bible that directly tells us what to do when someone is sick! James 5:14 - 16 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Observe the Bible asks "Is any sick among you?" If God wanted to "teach" some of us something through sickness, He made a big mistake in the wording of this scripture! But don’t worry God doesn’t make mistakes. He meant exactly what He said! Do you take the Bible as the final authority? I hope your answer is Yes! What is the sick believer to do "let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" What will the out come be? And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. What!, where is the doubt ? We have a promise, but there is a requirement, "the prayer of faith"! Not the prayer of doubt! We must believe to be saved, in fact, to receive anything from God we must have faith. Do you see the folly of those who suppose that praying, "If it be thy will" is proper here. I believe that sometimes it is a good and proper way to start a prayer to God, but only when His will is hid from us. On this subject it has been made abundantly clear. "Is any sick among you?" This, my friend, is the only place in the Bible (all 66 books) where this question is addressed, and answered in a direct way. Are you sick? Have you taken the instruction of the Bible?

I hope this helps you walk with the Lord, if you have any questions just write.
